Butter Swim Cookies

 The famous Martinique butter bread.

* Ingredients / for 8 people

°500 g of flour,
°1 sachet of "ultra-fast" baker's yeast
°125 g butter
°2 eggs
°1 teaspoon of salt
°1 teaspoon of sugar
°100 ml of milk
°100 ml of water

* Preperation :

In  bowl, combine flour with bakers yeast, salt also sugar. In  bowl, whisk an egg omelet.
2 In  saucepan, cool water / milk / melt butter, cut to small pieces.
3 Hollow well in flour also pour in water-milk-butter blend & adding beat egg. Mix with a spatula then knead the dough for 5 minutes with your hands until you obtain a homogeneous ball that does not stick to your fingers (add flour if necessary).
4Put the ball of dough back into the bowl, cover with a clean cloth and let stand for an hour (until the dough has almost doubled in size). Knead the dough for a minute to make it fall.
Divide it into three equal pieces to form strands (about 1.5 cm in diameter) and make a braid.
To finish
Place this braid on a baking sheet, buttered and floured (or better covered with baking paper). Brown with the egg using a brush. Bake immediately in a medium oven (around 175 ° C, thermostat 5) for 40 minutes.
