Crescent-with-Cream-Cheese-Sausage



 A decadent recipe to share with your guests... and it'll be gone in an instant!

* ingredients :

°Italian sausage 450 g (1 lb)
°3 bell peppers, assorted colors, cubes
°Half a kilo of soft cream cheese 250 gm
°Roll croissant dough 2, for eight croissants, 235 grams each
°Mix of four Italian cheeses, grated 500 ml (2 cups)

* Preparation:

Heat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Remove the membrane from the sausage and break the meat into pieces.
In fry pan, heat  olive oil on medium heat. Cook sausage meat for 5 to 6 minutes, slicing with a wooden spoon.
Add onions and peppers. Extend the cooking time by two minutes.
Add cream cheese and cook, stirring constantly, until melted. Remove from heat and leave to cool.
Lay the butter paper on the baking tray. Roll out the crescent dough, then separate the triangles of dough and arrange them on the baking tray in the form of a crown so that their base overlaps and forms a circle in the center.  
Spread the sausage mixture on the base of the dough triangles. Cover with half of the cheese. Fold the ends of the triangles over the filling, taking care to tuck the ends under the crown. Sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
