Mississippi Mudslide Cake



A recipe from the birthplace of America, Mississippi. A cake (without mud) typical of the deep USA, the mud pie.

*Ingredients :

°2 eggs
°200 g dark chocolate (0.4 pound)
°27 g of sugar (1/10 of a cup)
°105 g butter (7 tablespoons)
°63 g flour (1/2 cup)
°a liter jar of coffee ice cream (1/4 gallon)
°10 cl of liquid cream (7 tablespoons)
°55 g pecans (0.1 pound)
°55 g unsalted peanuts (0.1 pound)
°1 teaspoon of liquid vanilla extract
°a high-rimmed mold, about 20 cm in diameter, with hinges
°chocolate chips
°salt


* Preperation :

Preheat the oven to 180 ° c (th 6)
Melt 100 g of dark chocolate in a bain-marie
Let it cool down
Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl
Add the eggs one by one
Add the vanilla extract
Add the flour
Add half a teaspoon of salt
Add the cold melted chocolate
Chop the pecans and peanuts
Insert them to the preparation
Pour the dough into the previously buttered and floured mold
Cook for 30 minutes
Cool the cake in its mold
Add coffee ice cream to the top of the mold as well as chocolate chips as you go
Place in the freezer for 30 minutes
Mississippi mud pie chocolate frosting recipe:

Melt 100 g of dark chocolate with the liquid cream over low heat
Mix to obtain a very liquid mixture
Take the cake out of the freezer
Unmold it
Spread the chocolate coulis
